Been a while…

Yep, been a while since I posted any photos.  I haven’t been doing very good at taking photos every day, but I have been trying to take them frequently.  However, in order to keep my sanity, I’ve decided to just start posting with photos from this last month.  I realize that leaves a large gap in my goal of adding a photo to the blog for every day of the year, but that’s ok
Below are a few of my favorites from the last two weeks….



On August 3rd, Leann & I went out for a Mommy-Daughter day.  When I got off work, we went out for lunch.  She chose “Burger Works” because they have Barq’s Red Cream soda as an option.  After lunch we headed over to Yorkshire Rd for desert and a movie.  We visited “U-Swirl” for the first time and loved it!  Then we were off to watch Smurfs in 3D.  It was great having some special time with my oldest daughter!! 





August 4th
Darrah had a special, 2 hour Kindergarten Orientation.  The first 30 minutes we were together in the school cafeteria; then, she went to class with her teacher for the rest of the time.  Afterwards we went to U-Swirl to celebrate Darrah starting Kindergarten. She loved it! 


August 5th, The First Day of School


August 10th:  School’s been in session for a few days now & homework had already started for Miss Leann.  I thought it was cute that she found a reading nook on the stairs.


August 12th:  It’s Friday afternoon, and we are sitting out back enjoying the weather.  Darrah decided to water the yard for me.



August 13: 
(on the left) Darrah sits down at the table for breakfast.  Dada sets her bowl of cereal on the table.  Darrah asks, “I get the skull bowl?”  Dada says, “Yes.”  To which Darrah replies, “SWEET!”
(on the right) We found a cute yellow sun hat for Darrah at the dollar store.  We went to the movies to see Smurfs & were posing for photos afterwards.  Darrah was enjoying making different faces at me.  This is my favorite shot of her in the sun hat.
